In our ongoing mission to develop a year round appeal for Anguilla as a destination, five years ago the Government of Anguilla decided to introduce yet another reason to visit Anguilla. With the support of a number of local aficionados and BET we put together a partnership that has endured - the singular aim to make the Anguilla Tranquility Jazz Festival one which is characterized by loyalty to the preferences of Jazz Lovers. Hence we pride ourselves with the slogan "Straight No Chaser!"
Anguilla has distinguished itself as a destination, which targets clientele with discriminating tastes and a desire for top quality experiences. We believe that the members of the international jazz community are looking for an experience like Tranquility Jazz Festival where the focus is on delivering the richest and purest elements of the art form. And to bring on stage, a range of artistes and performers in a variety of settings designed to create the optimum ambience for celebrating the passionate, rhythmic, harmonious, spontaneous and romantic expressions that is endemic to jazz.
Tranquility Jazz Festival organizers are determined to stick to the original vision of "Straight Ahead" jazz. Jazz lovers will not be let down. We believe that you are special and we have reserved this time for you. You too deserve an opportunity to experience our turquoise seas, the sensuous appeal of our powdery white sandy beaches and the warm smiles of our friendly people - while you relax and enjoy the mellow sounds of the top jazz performers from across the world.
It is my honour and privilege as Minister of Finance and Tourism and myself a jazz enthusiast to share this wonderful experience with you here in Tranquil Anguilla where the slogan: feeling is believing" is also a jazz thing. We'll be jamming!
